Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, I immigrated to the United States after graduating from high school. My family settled in Miami, where I attended a community college, and eventually earned my bachelor's degree from Miami Christian College (now Trinity International University). Upon graduation, I served as a "home missionary" with Miami Youth for Christ, where I served as a chaplain for the Juvenile Detention Center, and then as an area director, responsible for neighborhood evangelistic small groups.

After 12 years with YFC, I obtained my master's in Counseling Psychology, and started my own ministry, the "Urban Training Network" (now Impact 922 Ministries), with the mission of training and equipping young people and youth leaders with a strategy for evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development. I also started teaching as an adjunct professor for Trinity International University on the south Florida campus.

After nearly three decades of ministry experience, I put my ministry on hold, and returned to school to pursue a PhD in education studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, with a minor in Intercultural Studies. I had a deep desire to be equipped to teach full-time at the college level.

I came to Taylor because of my passion to equip the next generation of ministry leaders with the tools they need to be effective ministry leaders wherever God leads them. I was particularly interested in teaching at Taylor because of their history and commitment to a Christ-centered education, with an integrative model of faith and learning, and a dedication to a servant-leader model of ministry. I am thrilled to join the faculty of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ to serve in the mission to "develop servant-leaders marked with a passion to minister Christ's redemptive love, grace, and truth to a world in need."
